Banana Pi BPI-M2 Ultra
Introducing the Banana Pi BPI-M2 Ultra - a powerful and versatile single board computer that is perfect for a wide range of applications. Powered by the Allwinner A40I/R40/V40 SoC, the BPI-M2 Ultra features a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU, which is the most power efficient CPU core that ARM has ever developed.
With its dual-core Mali-400 MP2 GPU, running at 500MHz, the BPI-M2 Ultra is capable of 1.1 Gpixel/s throughput, providing graphics capabilities that are slightly higher than the original Xbox's level of performance. The GPU provides OpenGL ES 2.0, hardware-accelerated OpenVG, 1080p45 H.264 high-profile encode and decode.
The BPI-M2 Ultra comes equipped with 2GB DDR3 SDRAM with 733MHz (shared with GPU), as well as support for SATA interface and a 40 Pins Header, which includes 28 GPIO pins that can be used for specific functions such as UART, I2C, SPI, PWM, I2S.
Onboard networking is provided by the Realtek RTL8211E/D 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet, while the WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (AP 6212 module on board) and Bluetooth BT4.0 modules provide wireless connectivity. The BPI-M2 Ultra also features onboard storage via a MicroSD (TF) card or 8GB eMMC.
The BPI-M2 Ultra features a 4-lane MIPI DSI display, RGB panel or LVDS panel, and TV-out on HDMI V1.4, as well as multi-format FHD video decoding, including Mpeg1/2, Mpeg4, H.263, H.264, etc. H.264 decoding is supported up to 1080P60, and video encoding is supported up to High-definition (HD) H.264 video encoder at 1080P@45fps.
Audio outputs include HDMI and analog audio via a 3.5mm TRRS jack, while an onboard microphone provides audio input. The BPI-M2 Ultra features two USB 2.0 host ports and one USB 2.0 OTG port, as well as buttons for reset, power, and U-boot.
Other features of the BPI-M2 Ultra include power status and RJ45 LEDs, an onboard IR receiver, and support for a 5V/2A DC power supply via a micro USB port. The BPI-M2 Ultra also supports 3.7V lithium battery power.
With its compact size of 85mm x 56mm (same size as Raspberry Pi 3) and weight of only 40g, the BPI-M2 Ultra is a powerful and versatile single board computer that is perfect for a wide range of applications.
